Hunting made illegal!

Hunting made illegal!

Tags: hunting, pig dogging, Costa Rica

You may not know where Costa Rica is on the map, but you'll be wishing we had politicians like theirs when you hear the decisions they've been making over there!

A brief timeline of excellent decisions in Costa Rica

1949: Abolishes their army. Becomes the most peaceful country in the region.
2007: Announces plan to become the world's first carbon-neutral country by 2021.
2012: Bans shark finning AND outlaws hunting for sport!

That's it! Sorry Julia and Tony, but I'm voting for a Costa Rican at our next election.

The law "will allow us to live in peace with other living things that share our planet," politician Victor Emilio Granadas said. "I believe this is a message we give to future generations, that an activity like sport hunting is not a sport but a cruelty."

And if you needed any proof of how right Victor is, just watch this report about hunting in Australia. It's a "sport" known as pig dogging , and be warned - it contains disturbing footage.

You can let our politicians know that you want them to follow the Costa Rican example by sending a message with the two actions below.

Call for an end to savage pig dogging

Keep sharks in the oceans and out of soup bowls

Now ... when's the next flight to Costa Rica?

and they are still living creatures people can't just kill them!!! especially if it takes 20 seconds imagine that it must feel like an eternity to the pig!!!!!!

I could have added a little more emotion to those sentences:

I heard earlier in the year that Costa Rica banned hunting! I think it is awesome, now I have a third reason to go there.
Put pig dogging happens in the U.S. too, and I think it is horrid, along with a similar practice replacing pigs with foxes. How could this be entertainment?!!

Oh yes. Being stabbed in the heart and left like that for 20 seconds would be a great way to go!! Especially after being chased and pinned down by dogs. Not.

The people that find a rush and enjoy chasing and killing an animal seriously need their head checked.

For years I have held the view all hunting should be banned. Why, I was in a village near Seattle,USA, we had been up in the hills hoping to see black bears at a water hole, we saw a few deer but thought nothing of it, when we came down we stopped in a small town for a meal, and discovered dozens of parked cars with dead deer's on the roof, it was 'shoot a deer free this weekend', weekend. Grown men, adults, (human vermin)  edooocated by Calamity Jane teachers! And were they happy. It was shocking and really unexpected.

I have just watched the video, this is not a sport, it show scenes that do not do Australia proud or are too it's credit, and reminds me off badger baiting which is now totally illegal in the UK.

A small point how many Oz children get attacked and hurt each year by pig-doggers dogs. Who in their right minds would keep monsters like those jaw-dogs anywhere near a home, farm, school or play park, One day a packs going to attack a child and kill them, then they'll ban it.
