Everyone deserves a day off!

Everyone deserves a day off!

Tags: Australia Day, Everyone Deserves a Day Off, Australia, lamb, whyveg, go veg

If you haven't seen the new 'Generation Lamb' Australia Day ad yet, I recommend you give it a miss. Personally, I've had about enough of hearing that I'm un-Australian because I choose not to eat animals. Here's the thing - I know what the sting of a blue bottle feels like, I get sunburnt after 20 minutes in the shade and I know all the best ways to stay safe from drop-bears. In short, I reckon I'm just about as ocker as they come. And I'll be celebrating my Australia Day with 100% meat-free deliciousness.

Here's why:

This year you can take a stand for our furry mates by keeping them off your plate. Because if there's one thing that Aussies can't get enough of, it's a day off. And everyone deserves one. Celebrate all that's good about Australia and knock back some veggie tucker this Oz Day. (Click here for some cruelty-free Aussie classics.)

P.S. If there's one more thing that Aussies just can't get enough of ... it's sticking it to the Kiwis. (The fruit, that isĀ wink.) Click on the graphic below to take part in our Facebook campaign to help save our little Aussie mates.

No traditional Aussie meat BBQ for me. I love my vegie kebabs seasoned with spices wrapped in foil and cooked on top of the  barbie! Try it - Skewer any vegie on a stick, season the vegies, place in foil and it's ready to go. Happy Australia Day! broccoli
