I've started shopping at Maxi Foods, and I think it's pretty good for vegan food - their health food, milk-free chocolate and faux cheese range is much bigger than the safeway I used to go to (in Blackburn Nth). Other than that, I'd have to say that the Asian supermarkets in and around Box Hill Central are great for vegans. There are so many different kinds of soy milk, tofu, cheap vegies, and gelatine-free lollies.
yeah that maxi used to be my local supermarket... they were pretty obliging about ordering things in for me.. and even started to stock a few of the things i ordered through them.
lol if ur a sydtowner, go to newtown guys. veagns choice. theres like a gazikllion vego restaurants there as well check it out, and u can go shopping 4 some groovy clothes there as well and go to furr 2 get ur hair done. they use manic panic which i think is vegan and they got like a trillion diffrent colours!
