I'm thinking about going to Melbourne Uni.
Was wondering if it has much in terms of vegans, like vegan meal options, vegan groups, non animal testing policies.
Ahh I would have loved to go but I didn't get in heh.
I visited a bunch of unis this year and most had plenty of vegan options whether it was asian food like tofu & veggies with rice, sandwiches, and I remember one even had its own little veg cafe on campus..
Uni students tend to be more likely to sympathise with the cause of animal rights so I'm sure there will be student-run clubs & groups you could join, & if not you could create your own!
Hopefully it will be even better by the time you get to uni
I went to their open day in August this year. From what I saw, they have a pretty supportive animal-rights student union, whose current campaign is the 'cage-free campus initiative'. Alot of their material is from both Animals Australia and Animal Liberation Victoria.
I would've loved to go to melb uni just or this!
I think they do have a animal rights group... I remember talking to them on the open days!
Very Cool.
I'm going to La Trobe though... I don't know what they have... I hope they have something!
