yeah i never really liked meat.. but ive been vegetarian for a little while now and the other day mum made bolognaise and i felt like breaking into the fridge in the middle of the night and scoffing it down.
im pretty disgusted that i thought that and i wouldve hated myself if i did it!!

Yeah, see the only time I get good food is when I eat out - my mum will sometimes make me a vege patty, but that's all, whereas she makes nice food for my family. And then gets mad if I want to cook for myself, because I clearly can't do it at the same time as her, so have to eat apart from my family, so she gets mad about that. And before anyone suggests that I cook for my family so they'll know how good vegetarian food is... I CAN cook (although failed at microwave easy mac the other day... wow), but my family (esp dad and my brother) refuse to eat anything that DOESN'T have meat in it. So frustrating.

on some days, you could have the same sort of thing. for example, just ask for veggie sausages (in the sanitarium section) when your family is having sausages. Just ask if you can have the sauce without the meat when your family has pasta etc. It might help a bit.

I'm not to sure if anyone has posted this yet but for a pie lover try La Panella. Rad little bakery that makes vegan treats and there are always steaming hot gooey mock meat pies nom nom nom!

My dad made me some mock meat pies the other day which was a surprise because he likes to keep out of the whole 'vegan' aspect of my life. But they were really nice. Just puff pastry with sanitarium veggie mince and a few other things like tomato paste and such. yummy.

In my opinion all you need to do to overcome a meat craving is to think about what the meat once was, how it died and how by eating it you would be paying people to abuse animals.
I don't see how anyone could "crave" that.
I agree.
Me too. Stop and think about it and ask yourself if eating animals is really that important to you once you know what the animal has gone through. It's a choice you have to make for yourself and there really are so many other food options!

I think it's natural to enjoy the smell of something you used to eat but I think that fades over time, I know I don't enjoy the smell of meat cooking, I think cheese smells off as do eggs, but it's been 3 years since I ate any of those.
