Save Leonardo, the Largest Alligator Snapping Turtle in Australia

Leonardo the Alligator Snapping Turtle has been kept alone in the same small glass tank for more than 15 years. During this time, he has continued to grow in size, and now weighs more than 45 kilos (100 pounds). In the wild, Leonardo could walk along the bottom of a stream, able to forage over a large territory, and to breed. Instead he is stuck in a barren enclosure, with nothing but rocks and concrete, where he has barely enough room to even turn around. We ask that the Australian Reptile Park move Leonardo to a larger purpose-built enclosure, to enable him to move freely, and to improve his quality of life. #saveleonardo
