Random Vego/Vegan Facts, Anyone?

Anyway so I never knew just how many people there were in Australia (and other parts of the world) who were dedicated to saving animals from senseless xruelty and slaughter.  
  Thanks Unleashed. And thanks everyone else.
  I've been scrawling (rather illegible) random facts about vegetarianism / veganism on the back of my school book in hope for a conversation with people about animal cruelty.
  Does anyone have a random fact that could also go on the back?
  I've already got:
 *Vegetarians require 50 per cent less water that omni's
 *Vego's produce 6 times less green house gas emissions
  *Einstein was a vego (random, I know, but kind of awesome)
 *There is less chance of getting nasty diseases.
  Anymore you can think of?

This one isnt exactly vego/vegan but

*Humans really arent made to digest meat

*Vegans dont smoke, and smoking is one of the leading causes of death
(the first part isntl always true)

*The USFDA recognizes vegetarian and vegan diets as the healthiest diets.'
(is that ture though)

*The word ‘vegan’ was originally derived from ‘vegetarian’ in 1944 when Elsie Shrigley and Donald Watson, frustrated that the term had come to include the consumption of animal byproducts rather than a completely plant-based diet. Watson called it "the beginning and end of vegetarian."

It takes 5,000 glasses of water to produce 1 glass of milk.

It takes 9kg of grain to produce 1kg of beef.

Checkout the VNV produced 'Eating Up The World.'

But bottomline:

Veganism: no one has to die.

Because when you mean school book you mean like the year book thing right?

Perhaps they mean school books as in english/math/science note books, personal books... diaries etc.
