Not quite sure what I'm getting yet, but I think I'd like to get something representing my veganism.
yeh, i'm going to get something to represent my veganism. I think I'm gonna get St. Francis of Assisi (The patron Saint for animals) on my upper arm (from shoulder to elbow). On one side of him will be a cow, the other a pig (both standing on an angle behind him). At his feet he'll have a chicken and fluttering around him a dove and dragon fly. Under him and the animals will be a script in Latin reading Non unus est forgotten (Not one is forgotten). It will all be done in black and grey.

It's hard to explain in writing so I'll try to post a photo on my profile.

To compliment the upper arm piece I want a portrait of my dog, framed on my inner forearm. Under the portrait, a white rose symbolizing The White Rose (student anti-NAZI organization) to symbolize that we need to make sacrifices, sometimes the ultimate, to do what is right. On my outer forearm, an Americana style full mast ship with the script “shine a light, guide me home” underneath it, to look at for guidance when things in life get a little murky.

Of course, this will all be linked up into one, mega black and grey full sleeve!! i'm so excited! ecstatic

I've been thinking about this for a longgggggggggggg time lol

if you're struggling with ideas and concepts you can always get a tattoo magazine from the newsagent. I recommend "Tattoo Flash," "Tattoo Life" and "Tattoo Revival" (the latter being an aussie publication). But be warned, you may just want a body suit after looking at the traditional Japanese stuff =P

i would compare the pain to when you draw on your hand with a biro and push down a little hard over the bones for too long. Not unbearable.

you cant describe it because for everyone its different to me the ones on my legs didn't hurt because of the vibrations i felt the shading though.
the one across my upper back i felt the highlights and when it went over my spine but i enjoy the feeling.
