Hi All,
I'm after an animal-friendly moisturiser for my face, but every one i have tried, makes my face really oily and gross (I have combination-type skin). I'm currently using Akin Vital Hydration Gel Creme, but I find that it makes my skin really oily. I used to use Clinique skin products, but have stopped since I found out that they were owned by Estee Lauder, who test on animals. Can anyone refer me to a good brand of moisturiser that won't make my face look like an oil slick... Thanks in anticipation... Mel.

i use apricot oil
seems silly to put it on to stop oil but but i also have combination skin and you only need a small amount last ages
when you clean your face with cleansers it rips skin of its natural oils which in turn makes your skin "over produce" oil
i find creams are way to heavy
you could try natio
I used to use the evening primrose one but found it wasn't moisturising enough for me because I have dry skin
I think it's more for normal to oily skin
they also have a teen specific range in a blue bottle which is for oilier skin I think, but I haven't tried it.
natio is stocked at most chemists and maybe kmart or somewhere like that too, and it's really cheap
I use a moisturiser from woolies called simple. Its hell cheap. It says online that it doesn't test on animals or contain any animal ingredients? So I use the facewash and moisturiser.
I second the apricot oil. I use a mix of jojoba/rose hip/camellia oil. Vegetable oils and essential oils do wonders for the skin. Mineral oil (Baby oil) clogs pores, but usually not vegetable ones. http://www.naturesgift.com/essentialoil-skincare.htm
I've been using my own little mix to combat blackheads and it works really well.
