I haven't seen this doco yet but have just bought it from vegan online...
Now..should i burn copies for my friends and family to watch or do i make sure they watch it and watch it with them.like inviite them around.
Because i can see most of them just not watching it..or turning it off after a little while...what are your thoughts???
I'm in the same boat. How do you get other people to actually watch it? I bought a copy to lend to people but no one wants to watch it, they say "i don't want to know." How do you get around that? It's especially hard when it is people that consider themselves animal lovers choosing to stay ignorant =(
Hey guys, please visit my new page http://www.facebook.com/theearthlingsproject
Where I have purchased 10 copies of the film, to be left in public spaces with a note to the viewer
Love to hear your thoughts, ideas on where to drop some DVDs and maybe even note ideas
I'd be happy to post a copy to anyone interstate with any bright ideas on where to leave the DVD.

oh Amen my lovelies, this is exactly what i feel like . no one will watch it . i loant it to mum and shes lost it. i desperately want it back as my dad has half agreed to watch it .
but it pees me off because they all eat meat and buy cosmetics tested on animals and say things like
"im the biggest animal lover'
and
'i reckon ill be veg one day...'
Omg YES! I cried the entire time, i just wanted to attack some of the people, no ALL of the people who were harming them, people who hurt animals have something wrong upstairs, that's a fact.
Earthlings changed everything for me. I became vegetarian after watching it and I've recently turned vegan. It doesn't surprise me how many people turn a blind eye to Earthlings and animal cruelty in general, to be honest. It's sad, but a lot of people either don't care because "animals are meant to be eaten", or they find it easier to pretend it's not cruel.
I know a girl who proudly calls herself an animal activist, yet she brags about her new leather jackets, constantly buys leather high heels and wears cosmetics that have been tested on animals. It gets to me!

welcome 2 the forum btw, good to have you!
Same as my dad, we were debating veganism the other day - he = a meat eater, milk lover & sheepskin car cover owner says 'I honestly do think im the biggest animal lover in the world'
hahahahahaha.
I saw the first 12mins and had to stop, my eyes were sore and I could hardly breathe, and my heart felt like it was being stomped on.
The film doesn't leave anything to the imagination. I had to stop. I've seen Meet your Meat and I thought that was bad (also made me cry) but, Earthlings is just wow. I will make myself watch the whole film one day. but not today. i'll probably have to do the film in little parts.
what annoys me most, is that this film is easy for every1 to see and be informed and ALL my friends refuse to watch it!!!! it really annoys me. you dont have to become vegan from watching it. but at least be informed.
me too. everytime i see something horrible done to animals i just want to go crazy and kill those doing these evils things. makes me sooo angry and really depressed at the same time. its horrible!!
I didn't get half way through the trailer, I was balling my eyes out just after seeing the very first "scene" of the trailer, I tried to be brave and watch the trailer to the end but quickly turned it off when you see that poor cow rolling about on it's back crying out in pain and fear!
I was already vegan when I chose to watch it, I didn't realise what it actually was, I had just seen it being mentioned on blogs and all that as a "fantastic, must see film!" I seemed to of missed the comments like "Insanley graphic, horrifying"
Wish I never watched it.
Definitly a must see for all those who eat meat/dairy/eggs wear leather/fur etc!
