so i went to the doctors for my yearly check up and got told off my iron levels and some vitamen levels r low so iv been given a good supplement to take anyway i was also told my omega 3 levels r down to what can i take to get these up hmmm any help??
Flax seeds are very high in Omega 3. You can get flax seed oil at the supermarket -- goes well in salad dressings etc., but make sure you keep it in the fridge, and don't cook with it or put it under heat
You can also get flax seed oil capsules. And flax seeds themselves are good, but they need to be ground in order to be digestible.
Some other good sources: soybean oil, rapeseed oil, tofu, walnuts. I put walnuts on my cereal in the morning. Yum, and healthy
yup I was gonna say flaxseeds too. I get flaxseed meal. So they are ground up and you can just add it to most things.. like putting it on cereal or just adding it to everyday cooking. goes okay in most things
I use chia seeds.
They've got more omega 3's then flax and even more health benefits. Although ground flax does taste better.
Also strawberries; walnuts; spinach; broccoli; cabbage (just about all green things have a little) and canola oil.
I've heard they are the best thing since, ... well, the best thing. But how do you eat them? I've been told it's best to sit them in water and let them go all jelly-like, which IMHO is kinda gross...
I tried chia seeds on cereal, which is sorta okay, but they always get stuck in my teeth!

you can use them in smoothie sprinkle on cereal and make them a gel and just take them as is.
now you can also get ground chia seeds so no seeds to be getting stuck in your teeth
