People have respected the abolitionist opinion and position in the past. I remember when I first got on this forum, I engaged in really, really good discussion with abolitionists - namely, Francis and Zoe from Animal Liberation Victoria.

The difference between them and you?

1. They weren't lazy. They didn't copy and paste huge essays that don't even nearly begin to address questions. They discussed issues in their own words. They didn't plagiarize. They addressed the question with a genuine desire to better the lives of animals. They out in effort.

I mean if we, as you and Francione like to say, "take animal interests seriously", don't you think a start would be to write responses in your own words?

2. They got out and did something about the issues. They organized demonstrations, protests, leafleting sessions and feed-ins. They made a difference.

Because they did this, they had CREDIBILITY. They could constructively criticize by giving alternatives; leading by example.

----

These people had a massive influence on me and my activism. I cannot imagine your huge essays, on a forum designed for the youth, will.

It's absolute BS that you come on here and criticize proposed leafleting sessions and demonstrations - or for that matter any activism - when you have no intention at all of getting out there and doing something about the issue.

You have the balls to criticize us and our activism, when it seems you believe animal liberation will come about online.

Why not get out there and lead by example. Upload some photos of what you've done recently, or even tell us a story. Start a thread and get some volunteers. Inspire. Do something the animals desperately need.

How sad and astounding that you and a select few think you have a greater understanding of the "movement" and what is working than a Distinguished Professor of Law and Nicholas deB. Katzenbach Scholar of Law and Philosophy at Rutgers University School of Law-Newark. Prof. Gary L Francione has not only been working in animal rights and the "movement" long before you were born, he has written numerous books, been interviewed many times, works tirelessly to end animal use and has also worked for years with PeTA in the 80s and has a very deep understanding of economics, of the "movement" and the way industry functions.
Well thats just fantastic, but how have you been helping 'the movement' other than copying and pasting annoying opinion essay things on forums such as this one? (Which btw, isn't getting you very far).

Sometimes I wonder if posters like you are bots.

This is obviously a feel good forum for non-thinkers.
One word: wow.

This is coming from someone who is now infamous for plagiarizing essays. Copying work, not bothering to think for themselves.

wow.

"This is obviously a feel good forum for non-thinkers.  "

"I thought there may be some hope for this "forum" and I use the term loosely,"

Who's rude?

-------

"Your idea of "spamming" is any member who tries to discuss or dare posts anything about abolitionist animal rights."

Or maybe it's when people copy and paste large chunks of information or essays.

I would have a lot more respect for moderators and this "forum" if you would honestly state in your rules that abolitionist vegans are not welcome here.
Again, it's not the abolitionist approach though that we have a problem with - it's you.

Many abolitionists have come in here and inspired. You have done the opposite. You're tiring the movement. You're preaching inactivism. You have no intention of doing anything yourself, whatsoever. Other than of course moderating the odd-facebook page, maybe even mowing Gary's lawns - sadly, the animals don't benefit from any of this.

I mean just imagine how many of Gary's carefully-crafted, God-like pamphlets you could have leafletted in the time its taking you to write new threads such as this one.

I don't know why everyone keeps fueling this person.
Ignore this topic completely guys!

We all know we care, it's why we bother including ourselves in forums about our lifestyle choices. At least we can all think and type for ourselves!

Firstly, if you wish to direct a lengthy personal message at me, then I'd suggest sending an email, so as not to further disrupt the forum.

You are not "allowing" me or anyone else who is abolitionist to post anything here which does not fit into your narrow definition of advocacy.
Any true discussion about abolitionism has been left to run it's course unmoderated.

What has not been tolerated is forum spamming (ie. copying and pasting of content from other sites without intent to engage in discussion). And the fact you have been banned once already for this behaviour should have made it clear that it was inappropriate.

As moderators we aim to make the forum a friendly, useable space for all our community members. It is evident from the responses of other community members that we were not wrong to moderate your spamming, as it is not appreciated by the community.
