I completely agree! It is unessisary and super cruel!sad Animals' bodies are built up differenlty to ours and react in a different way so why test on them??

I agree with you Tessa!! Scientists should know if it works and if they don't know if it does.. Then they are not doing their jobs right!! pig

i hate animal testing D8 it is so wrong. and just because something works on an animal does not mean that it will work on a human, we're different. urgh its just horrible and makes me want to hit something.

All animal tests have to go through human trials by law anyway, so its a massive waste of innocent lives. Absolutely disgusting.

We have to make others aware of how bad it is though. Like in my psychology class we doing ethics for a week and we had a class discussion about animal testing. It was basically just me and my other veg friend against half the class lol. The other half were either unsure or told they were hypricrits because they eat meat (which is kinda true but i believe in the whole every little bit counts thingy).

Most of the class didn't find it wrong at all. One person kept on coming up with the same totally stupuid f**ked up f**k bitch response, that it is different when it comes to humans when my friend and i were trying to put the process on these poor animals happned to humans.

i know a scientist and he 'thinks' they need to test on animals to get results for medical science. I always argue as the results on an animal general is different to a human so they really are inaccurate and unnecessary

The short answer is because its legal and they get money for doing so. Its also to cover their asses when a new drug comes out so they can have warning such as 'may cause heart attacks' ect. If they know it has a negative effect on an animal there is a possibility it will with a human also. so it's to stop themselves from getting into trouble. It doesn't matter if the product does have a negative effect on a humans health, as long as there is a warning somewhere on the packaging, they are covered.
