and just recently tried yong green food on brunswick street in fitzroy (vegan..with raw food options avail). i only had a raw rye bread and dip kinda thing, but must say it was pretty damn good.

oh man i'm so with you on white lotus! where is yong green? ( like what's it near by?) i go to brunswick quite a bit but i can't say i've ever seen it! clearly i'm missing out!
god i love white lotus.i used to work at vic market tattoos which is across the road and every sunday after work i would go and mr lee would know to just bring me out the lemon chicken (drool)
supposedly yong green food has been opened since the end of last year and one of the tattooers in out studio just discovered it this week. it's 421 brunswick street, which is on the same side of the road as shag/trampoline ice-cream (etc), just past the corner of brunswick and westgarth (the retro cafe is on the corner of westgarth)
oh god, la panela. when i go there i buy sooo much ahah. such deliciousness! i've never actually tried enlightened. what don't you like about it?
I find enlightened really oily to the point where its sickening, and the sauces they use are really full on, and they drench all the mock meats in it.. I have been a few times, bday party's and stuff, and every time i walk outta there with no money and feeling sick! haha
i guess it depends on what dish you get. the lemon chicken is full on, but you can just ask them to put it in a separate bowl if you like.
yong green is great but its really hit and miss. the korean bbq dish is great.

love vegie hut and theres one simular to it in glen waverly but ive forgotten the name
Ooohh. I have nothing near me coz i'm way back around Croydon area, so far from the city. But my bf lives around Glen Waverly! The only veggie restaurant I could find around him says it closed down last year though.
If it is a different one, let me know. I'd love to have somewhere close by to go out to!
