I first heard about the Sydney CFF 4 years ago, & even though it takes almost 3 hours to get there, i have caught the train from Newcastle to Sydney for the festival each year - it has become a bit of a tradition for my little sister (who is not veg(etari)an, but loves animals) & i!
Each year we make a new badge at the kids stall & get our faces painted

Last year my sister got her face painted as a cow, & the year before a pig

I got a cute snail painted on mine last year
It's a really great festival because it's right there in the middle of the park, right near Central station, & i'm sure there are a lot of non-veg people that wander in to have a look.
And OMG - the food is sooooooooo good! There's always something new to try, & i always end up stuffing myself full of yummy vegan goodies!
Heaps of cool stalls with interesting merch too, & some awesome music & demo stalls
