If you hunt it yourself, you can eat it.

I know Aboriginals have a theory of if you kill it, you eat it. All of it. You don't waste a single part of the animal.

But I guess fishing is technically hunting? And that's horrid.

I much prefer this logic to the - buy it at the supermarket - logic. I agree that it would definitely turn a lot of people veg*n. I think it would encourage less wastage and less of a disposable attitude towards meat and animals as a commodity. Wastage is a true crime IMO, it is so disrespectful.

I like your logic.

I personally only eat meat if I catch it myself or if I personally know the person who catches it. I don't see the problem with it, I don't support any industry that profits from the exploitation of animals, the only reason I'd ever kill an animal is for my own health. Humans are simply another animal in the food chain.

I have issues with them being able to hunt endangered species because of their heritage, people might find it racist...But if they want this privilege, they need to go out and live in the bush without electricity, modern health care etc, etc.

I'm far from racist. But alot of (NOT ALL) aborigionals basically demand respect and demand all this special treatment because of their background and the whole Say Sorry thing.. They want everything handed to them.. And then they say they want to be treated EQUALLY.. They want to just be apart of everyones community and not singled out and treated exactly the same as 'white' people.. Wellllll... If you wanted to be treated the same... You do exactly what we do, and get what we do. Nothing special. I know this has nothing to do with the topic, it's just annoying that they demand to be treated the same, and also demand special privlidges.. Hope i havnt offended anyone, i didnt mean too

No body should be able to break the law just because of culture. Wow didn't lords used to rape all the women in their villages? We should sure let our mayors rape all the women then, because that is a traditional culture.

"Say Sorry thing.. They want everything handed to them.. And then they say they want to be treated EQUALLY" just makes my face burn with rage.

I take extreme offence to this. My grandfather was part of the Stolen Generation. If you think that he does not deserve an apology for the tremendous suffering that was inflicted on himself and his family because of the colour of his skin that is disgusting. Why doesn't he deserve to be treated like a 'white' person? If a 'white' person is wronged, they deserve an apology so why not him?
Ha. 'the whole Say Sorry thing..They want everything handed to them...' I've never heard something so racist. It is exactly that attitude that you have displayed that fuels the prejudices of this country. What's next? 'Send back the "queue jumpers"?'

It is ironic that you can fight for the injustices of animals but you can't accept the wrongs inflicted upon the traditional people of this land.

I didn't mean 'the say sorry thing' in a bad way. i had a meeting with an aborigional woman whos dad was from the stolen generation, and I even myself apologised. I in no way condone that AT ALL- I never said that was okay, did i? Answer that. Did i say that i didnt care, or in any way said anything bad about the say sorry thing? Does it mean i think that it shouldnt be THIS generation apologising, no.. i think it shouldve been done by the people who ACTUALLY did it. do i agree with taking peoples children, sh*t no. But do i agree with people wanting to be treated the same, and wanting special privlidges because bad things have happened to them... no... i dont think that because bad things have happened they should be compensated in the way they are... what you think that because i have different beliefs than you, there's in no way possible that i should be able  to care about an animal?? I was merely saying that i don't believe people should "complain" theyre not treated as equals, but yet think they have some right to different things than what everyone else does. You can attack me back in any way you want, and call me a racist- i definately believe i am not, ive let aborigionals into my house, 2 of my uncles run MANY aborigional communities in northern territory.. i am not a racist.. and dont put words in my mouth

May I ask what 'special privileges' you are referring to?

Indigenous males die on average at the age of 59—18 years earlier than non-Indigenous males. And Indigenous females only live to 65 on average—compared to 82 for non-Indigenous females. You'll also be delighted to know that the mortality rate of Indigenous Australian babies remains at more than 12 for every 1000 live births—a rate nearly three times that of non-Indigenous infants.

Aboriginal people are also discriminated in every corner of society from education to healthcare to employment.

Stop acting so entitled. You just have a different skin colour.
