Hi everyone, i'm interested to know what health/super foods you all swear by! I've tried plenty of things in my time, but a few random stand outs include evening primrose oil and LSA mix. I also LOVE almonds, I think they're great!

Other things i've tried include olive leaf capsules, flaxseed oil &  multi vitamins (although I believe they should only be taken if if tests show i'm deficient in something).

I think the ethical nutrients inner health plus is fantastic, especially when taking anti biotics. I buy the dairy free one.

At the moment i'm trying Apricot Kernel Oil. It's high in Omega 9 & has a significant amount of Omega 6. Silly me ate a spoonful of it yesterday, it felt like a mouthfull of olive oil, swear to god I could feel it sitting in my belly for the rest of the day!

Apparently it's great to use as a moisturiser for the skin, or added to salad dressing. It has a high heating temp so it can be used for cooking. Here's the brand I bought http://www.proteco.com.au/uploads/27356/ufiles/Apricot_kernel_oil_profile.pdf

I have chia seeds and ground flax on a regular basis. I also have liquid sea minerals, but not often enough to really know if its beneficial.

Spirulina.
I swear by it.
When anyone asks me "How can I be more healthy?" I always tell them as a first step to include spirulina in their diet.
I eat it in some form (mostly powdered added to liquids) with every meal as I really believe that it is one of the most nutrient dense foods on the planet.
I also consume chia seed gruel (chia seed + water) for breakfast most days with my spirulina.

I've heard a lot about spirulina, and I think you've just sold me on it. What is the best form to get it in? I think i've only ever seen capsules. And does brand matter?

i like to believe in the power of natural healing/alternative medicine. i am just a bit unclear on whether or not vitamin supplements and their health benefits remain unregulated in australia, which means that they could be potentially toxic if not taken with caution. it would be great if someone knew something about whether this is actually true or not.

Alright...
Pills for ease and powder for better absorption.
I won't lie to you; it doesn't taste too good but is worth it when you start to feel the benefit.
Generally 6-8 pills is equivalent to one teaspoon so... yeah. Plus the pills have binders. Better then nothing though.
Just blend/mix a teaspoon of powder with pineapple/orange juice and enjoy!
Brand doesn't matter; quality does.
1. Certified organic (they can use heavy metals in it otherwise).
2. NOT FROM CHINA!!!! (low quality; waste of money)
3. Preferably Hawaii sourced and then Australian.

Your local health food store should stock some.
