I have 7 rabbits, all desexed:
Bandit: a lop x with mega bad teeth. She has to have molar trims every 2 months or less, is on 5 different medications a day. She's happy at the moment, but she will never be fixed. She's addicted to her meds, takes them from the syringe. I can't eat when she's around or she'll eat it. Loves drinking my boyfriend's coffee too! Very bad for bunnies!
Lily: a dwarf x rescued by ALV 5 years ago along with many others. She's got lung cancer and has spondylosis of the lumbar spine. She's being kept comfortable on pain meds, but not sure how long I'll have her.
Baxter: a dwarf x all black apart from a white blotch on his nose. He's very funny, growls whenever picked up. He's my newest bunny.
Frankie: a giant chinchilla rescued from a meat farm in Lara over 3 years ago. He has splay leg from the cage floor, and now they're twisted and arthritic. He's also being kept company.
Heidi: is a dwarf x English spot with one eye. It had to be removed because it was ulcerated and infected when she came in to my shelter. She lived in a tiny hutch for about 4 years, and has a very funny walk. She's had an x-ray to check her spine, but that was fine. Seems she has psychological problems instead.
Patsy is a chocolate and white Dutch bunny. She has not medical problems, she's just obsessed with pats on the head.
Doogie is a giant boy. He came into the shelter as a baby with chemical burns. I washed all that off, took him home to foster, and never too him back. He's impossible to pick up, panics like crazy, and thumps all the way to the vet. He has to get a broken tooth checked out next week, not looking forward to it!
Plus two dogs. Zorro a Cav x Sheltie and a mini pom with one eye called Carley.

Everyone has so many pets!!! My only pet is my fish Antoine the Swan. (named after Anthony Keidis, anyone familiar with him will know his nick-name is Antoine to Swan)

Antoine is a red siamese fighting fish but I prefer to call him by his proper species name which is Betta Spleden. These are BEAUTIFUL fish! For the first year I had Antoine in a 3.5 L tank and he seems happy enough but didnt swim much. He still built his bubble nests but I hated seeing him in this tiny tank. SO I bought him a big 25L tank all for himself and he loves it!! For the first 2 days Antoine was typical moody (he is a moody fish) and sulked, refused to eat and didnt swim. Then suddenly I walked out on the 3rd day and caught him playing under the filter. He swims under it, gets thrusted down then swims back up to do it again. he does this for a LONG TIME. He can easily swim away but he doesnt.. FISH DO HAVE PERSONALITIES! he now swims all over the tank, swimming slow - rapidly fast! His fins and tail are beginning to grow again after he lost half of them when he got ammonia poisoning (a result from keeping him in a small tank)

I love fish and when you own them you realise how they aren't boring at all. I try to watch Antoine but as soon as he seems me he stops swimming and comes to look at me. he follows me and my boyfriend around the apartment, follows our fingers, and when you tap on the tank he swims RIGHT over to you.  I LOVE MY FISHY

At my parents house I had a dog (brandy who is a maltese X shitzu) She is a ball of fun. She is so excitable for a 7 year old dog. Still acts like a puppy and is very smart. She taught herself to beg and now does it WHENEVER we have food, or thinks we have food. She stands up on her back legs and sits on her bum. She sits like this for an hour if were all talking at the dinner table.. and she also loudly tells us how she wants food... She is obbessed with food because she cant ONLY eat Chicken mince and peas/beans. She is allergic to beef, pork, fish you name it. A result I should say from puppy mills as I got her from a dirty petshop. So Mum has to buy her people mince and veggies and cook for her every week. any trace of meat other than chicken and she will bleed from her but and her mouth.. Not nice.

My parents also have 4 other of my pets. 1 male ragdoll cat (Milo) 1 Himalayian cat (Gyspy) one cross between the two but unrelated (Callie) and one Russian blue cat (lucy) who is 17 years old, an out doors cat and one hell of a survivor. She got mauled by 3 pit bulls when she was 3 and as a result lost half her ribs and half her muscle on on side on her chest. However she is perfectly healthy and for some reason a very cranky cat.. (half the time shes faking it though) ecstatic

Mums also got 20+ Guppies that KEEP BREEDING. we started out with 3. The female actually keeps the male sperm in her and re-impregnates herself once shes given birth. Therefore she is always pregnant.. Dont get guppies!!!   fish Long post!!! Sorry ecstatic

Loving these stories happy

I have 2 horses, Gus is a 18yrs (19 in November) thoroughbred, he started life as a racehorse in New Zealand and was brought over to Oz to keep racing but didn't do very well here. For all that though he raced till he was 7 which is a pretty long career for a racehorse, so he must have been doing something right! Then we was owned by an eventer who did quite a lot with him, then I got him aged 12. About a year into owning him he had to have a big surgery due to mineral blockages in his bowel- "enteroliths"- two of them, each the size of a rockmelon. He recovered perfectly though! To look at he's a giant, proud, impressive boy (16.3hh and a few people mistook him for a warmblood back when he was in full fitness) but he's actually a big sook who worries a lot. He always tried his best under saddle even if he didn't understand what you're after- you'd just have to try to re-explain it to him differently otherwise he'd get very upset. He's been retired for about a year now with mild arthritis but he still hoons around the paddock!!

Leo is 7 yrs old, Anglo Arab x Warmblood, pretty little fellow. This has been his first year of competition and he is very willing and gives everything a go. Very spooky fellow, thinks the world is out to eat him, particularly hates loud noises. He voices his disapproval with lots of snorting. To ride he's pretty lazy but very smart. He is best rewarded with "break time" and food.... he's a little chubster! He's definitely the class clown, the annoying kid that plays "poke the bear" with the older boy (Gus).... but knows his place at feed time! Can be a bit stubborn at times but this is usually overcome with food rewards!

I'll just do 'my' animals 'coz Dad has heaps and it will take me forever to write them all down happy

Spaz: He is my 3yo Whippet X ?? rescue dog. He's a bit of a special case. When my dad was the RSPCA for the Bendigo region he was called out to a 'noise' in the State Forest what he found was horrific. 10 puppies had been beaten over the head with a metal pipe and 3 adult dogs had been strangled with baling twine. Spaz and one other puppy were still alive but unfortunately the other pup died on the way to the vets. Spaz was left with permanent brain and behavioural damage. He can't turn left, has OCD like tendancies, is human and animal agressive and suffers from separation anxiety. I love him to bits though and he leads a somewhat happy and comfortable life as he can.

Anou: She is my hand reared kitten. She's 5 months old now. Another Dad rescue, her and her 4 brothers were dumped at only a few days old. They were full of cat flu and ridden with fleas. I took Anou on and gave the other 4 to the vets. All survived and found homes and Anou is here with me for good.

Anam: She is a grey and white tabby cat. She was looking for a home about the time I got Anou. I took her on and she helped wean Anou and teach her to go to the loo. It worked out really well.

Mel: Is my soul mate. She is a 14.3hh 12yo Appaloosa Mare. There's quite a story to go with her. Mel is my dream horse and when I was 16 my mum purchased her and her first foal. Mel was in foal again so I couldn't ride her but I set about training Oakie. My mum isn't a very nice person and sold Oakie on me and I had to wait for Mel to foal so I could ride her. She foaled down a lovely colt and when he was weaned I set about to retrain her. She got Seedy Toe (a disease of the hoof where the hoof goes all crumbly and breaks off) and I nursed her through that I tried again but then my mother and I had a falling out and I moved 5 hours away. I begged, screamed, tried to bribe my way into taking Mel with me but she wouldn't let me. So I left without her. 6 months later I happened to pick up Horse Deals (a horse selling mag) and found Mel in it. I got someone to pose as a buyer for me but apparently Mel had already been sold. A few months later I heard some disturbing news that Mel had gone through the meat pens at a market and the only information I had was that a riding school had bought her. I rang up several riding schools and luck was with me this time. The 3rd riding school I rang had purchased her. I bought her back and she came home for good a day before my 19th birthday. Still to this day I have never ridden her just for a bit of trivia ecstatic

Willow: Is Mel's 4th foal. She's Liver Chestnut QH X Appaloosa. She's currently for sale due to financial difficulties sad

Your pets all sounds really really cute! happy I love all their cute little personalities!
I have 3 cats currently: Milo, Coco & Hermes.

Milo - mother of the other two (we got her as a kitten), she need a lot of reassurance with most things... i'm not sure why, but once you do she's fine. . She's really soft spoken to so when she meows it's really hard to hear. happy but it sounds so cute.

Coco - Cutest meow in the world!! She still sounds like a little kitten even though she isn't anymore. She's very cheeky, but she doesn't like pats much, she'd rather just brush against you or play with you instead.

Hermes- (currently has a urinary problem and is on a special diet). he's very spoilt & very crazy, I mean crazy (talks to himself a lot - very loudly and starts running all over the place). He's very cute when he's grumpy (when we take him to the vet) he'll just frown at us and ignore us if we talk to him. haha happy
