Wait, so they don't put gelatin in redskins anymore? They always used too.
Correction - the normal small individually wrapped ones contain gelatin, but you can get these longer ones that are vegan, I don't know how to explain what they look like though. Sorry about the confusion.
Jelly Tots (if anyone remembers them) are vegan. Except there's only one place I know of in Melbourne that sells them... and Redskins are vegan too!
omg! I use to binge on those when I was little. I thought they only had them in South Africa! I'm now officially on the lookout
Well I work in a lollyshop that sells them... my boss is South African so that might explain why we have them, considering he gets in all these other (non-vegan) South African stuff.

Kind of like, the big ones you buy individually rather then smaller ones you buy in a bag?
I thought I once ate one, thinking it didn't have gelatin in it, then went and got another one and yeah it had gelatin.. just assumed that I was tripping out or something.

Yeah those ones, and they have the toffee apple flavour too. Good to double check incase anyway, these companies are always changing their ingredients...
I think you can still purchase & consume products that "may contain eggs" or other trace ingredients with still having the end-goal of animal liberation in mind.
I tried eliminating everything that 'may contain traces of' in it..it got hard after awhile. =/
Haha, I did that when I first became vegan! But I've realised that it is just to protect themselves in case of possible allergic reactions. The food is just processed on the same conveyor belts with dairy products etc so doesn't intentionally contain that ingredient.
yeah, i did it when i first went vegan. Yeah i figured that..Also, if your trying to turn someone vegan and you tell they they cant eat the may contain stuff..theyll be less inclined to go vegan cause it seems to hard >.<
same, haha! but yeah the Mars thing, defs bad.
I try my hardest with everything I eat, and yeah Oreos are made here I THINK, I just heard the UK ones weren't vegan
i keep eating those nutty caramel popcorn things lately. the lolly gobble brand, so delicious and i'm pretttyy sure theyre vegan. theyre just made on the same equiptment that processes milk stuff. good though.
Does anyone know if Praise 97% fat free tartare sauce is vegan? It says in the ingredients 80% mayonnaise which usually has egg in it but it doesn't say anything about egg in bold. Do they have to list egg in case of allergies??
