I found these yummy non-jelly jelly cups at the supermarket and they're made out of agar-agar, but i forgot what brand they are. if i ever buy them again i'll be sure to post them, but look for them cause they were really nice.
i just went to the supermarket then and i made sure to check and yep..they have shellac =/
maybe different places in aus have different ingredients..? although that doesnt make much sense..
i emailed the company and they said that skittles are ok
"We are pleased to confirm that the following Skittles products manufactured by The Wrigley Company in Australia, do not contain any animal sourced ingredients.
Products currently made by The Wrigley Company Australia are:
In addition to locally made products, The Wrigley Company Australia imports products manufactured by other Wrigley companies around the globe. and if it's mars who produce it, apparently they still test on animals.... so perhaps not entirely vegan... but somewhat vegan. However, I don't think that mars would be making skittles.... so ya know. lol. more than likley wrong.
I feel like someone who's walked into a party after a joke and it's really awkward cos I totally missed out.
Upshot - OREOS ARE VEGAN???
Man, I was eyeing some off in the supermarket the other day but assumed because the packets says CREAM filled biscuits that they would actually have CREAM. Crazy huh?
