how are skittles vegan though? anything from Mars directly supports torturing animals for experiments. experiments used to help them make more shit food.

and I'm guessing since UK Oreos aren't vegan, and American ones are, the ones we get are american?
wouldn't that mean the sugar in them is refined therefore made with animal bones?
I've heard Australia doesn't use animal bones in refining anymore, but america still does.

I suppose it's each to their own. While everyone on here makes an effort to alleviate the suffering of animals in one way or another (all effective in their own right), not everyone is a 'vegan purist.' While animal testing is one thing I won't support, I think you can still purchase & consume products that "may contain eggs" or other trace ingredients with still having the end-goal of animal liberation in mind.

i recently found out that skittles are made by mars and since i stopped eating mars bars and snickers for that reason when i was just veg, ive stopped eating skittles now..i didnt realise mars owned them.

I didnt know about the oreos either. Doesnt australia produce their own oreos?

Haha, I did that when I first became vegan! But I've realised that it is just to protect themselves in case of possible allergic reactions. The food is just processed on the same conveyor belts with dairy products etc so doesn't intentionally contain that ingredient.

i may not be a vegan but i had a look at a list of some animal derived additives and i think they seem disgusting and unnecessary.. that's why i try to buy organic foods more often without the additives happy

Skittles contain palm oil? I wouldn't buy them then. Plus I'm pretty sure they are owned by mars...

Jelly Tots (if anyone remembers them) are vegan. Except there's only one place I know of in Melbourne that sells them... and Redskins are vegan too!
