dont know if this has been brought up yet or not, had a quick look but didnt fancy reading everything so sorry if its been asked already!

but the whittakers dark chocolate. i LOVE it.
are the other varieties vegan also?

for example their peppermint block and there is also an orange one and a mocha one i think?
would they be vegan also, does anyone know?

also random side not:
when things say "flavour" or "natural flavour" but dont specify what the flavour is (speaking about chocolate here) is it generally safe or could it possibly contain milk?
i know thats pretty generalised, and maybe a silly question, but yeah. whats the deal with flavours?

oh yeah, sorry to add this too!

the coconut chocolate used to be my favourite as well!!

did you guys get anywhere with a recipe to make it??

i was thinking (possibly stupid idea) that i could melt down some chocolate, stir in a butt load of coconut and let it set haha. i dont know if that would work?
im not exactly the best in the kitchen tongue

The CREW at Vegan Era are choc-o-holics, and they love this Oxfam fair Organic Dark Chocolate, 100g. You can pick it up at your local IGA. Plus at ALDI they have this brand of chocolate that comes in almond and mint. It is Vegan and totally addictive. Actually if you melt the mint one down and add some soy or rice milk, it makes the best hot chocolate.

What a great site!

Really interested to hear about vegan chocolate, but I'd be wary of eating Lindt chocolate since despite what the company has said recently, it is still accused of using cocoa beans produced using child slave labour. Nothing to do with veganism, of course, but to my great sorrow, I'm not going to be able to buy Lindt any more until they do better.

Here's just one of many sites that talks about blood chocolate:

And this is a list from their site of "good" chocolate--does anyone know whether any of it is vegan as well?

Noble Choice almond.  It tastes just like the charity blocks people used to sell when I was a little tacker that looked like a Toblerone with the top cut off.  Best of all, it's just in the chocolate section at my local IGA.
