Hi guys

I was wondering if I could draw everyone's attention to this website: http://www.savelennox.co.uk/.  Lennox, an American Bull dog Labrador cross has been wrongfully accused for being a pit bull (BSL is nonsense anyway) and could very well be put to death on November 23rd.  Please go online to the website and make some suggestions as to what can be done to save this dog!  Write to everyone on the webpage, contact your local animal welfare organizations.  JUST do what it takes to help this little guy get home again PLEASE?  Put pressure!  Thank you!

This is so sad and wrong, pitbulls are great dogs anyway. I'm so sick of them being portrayed as aggressive and horrible dogs, the dogs nature is completely dependant on how you bring it up!

Better start emailing!

Here's a quick link to the petition to bring lennox home, every body here should sign, I know if it were my family member being kept from me, and facing death, I'd want everybody to do something as small as signing a petition. It could save his life

Thank you Australia for your kind assistance which I am sure Lennox's family do appreciate, especially at this time - it is dire - from the UK.

To MissMonster and 4_da_animals,

Thank you for your very kind and much needed assistance - already Australia is replying to change.org petition and hopefully www.savelennox.co.uk.

It seems Belfast City Council are changing their email addressess this week but mcnaneyp and the online complaints form are still going through.  There are plenty more organisations listed on the endangereddogs website - .co.uk or org. that could be petitioned.

I have heard that some time ago Irish Wolfhounds nearly died out and were consequently crossed with Bull Mastiffs and that therefore today's Irish Wolfie (which must be an incredible sight - funny it's still a banned breed (in Fairfield, Iowa, to name but 1 place) is part Bull Breed - I wonder if that is true?  Do you know?  Would that then come under dangerous dog in N.I. - I don't suppose it would measure up (or down, as the case would have to be there!).  Imagine not having Irish Wofies or little bull doggies?

Wouldn't mind knowing about the bull mastiff/irish wolfie thing AND THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ALL YOUR CONTINUING SUPPORT IN TRYING TO KEEP LENNOX ALIVE AND MAYBE GET HIM HOME - THANK YOU!  Karen.

I agree - credit where credit's due - Adithi (I believe) and Unleashed for helping to spread support for Lennox and hopefully soon, in N.I., Ireland and the rest of the UK, the forgotten shelter animals. With sincere heartfelt thanks.

Thankfully I live in Scotland where the SPCA does not euthanise healthy animals and BSL has already been repealed (although only very recently).

I own a dog called Murphy - he is a cross breed with possibly Irish Wolfhound in him although only DNA could confirm this for sure.  I can confirm with hand on my heart  however that Murphy has not had any practice lately in killing wolves and therefore I do not think he is dangerous!  I am still not taking him anywhere near Iowa (FAIRfield - bit of a misnomma!).

The Irish have so much history to be proud of, particularly Irish Wolfhounds I think, but it's a shame that Norther Ireland with BSL just seem to be stubbornly attempting to be the Denver of the UK.  Northern Ireland have nothing to be proud of right now - I am ashamed enough about  England dragging it's heels re BSL but  Northern Ireland wins 1st prize in the embarrassment stakes!

I am certainly not taking Murphy to N.I. either - he might have bull breed in him (see comment above).

Anyway on a lighter note - have to keep things bearable - can you imagine telling an Irish Wolfie to sit!!!! - I think I would add, 'please'!

And a final comment on how ridiculous N.I. are being - if I came across Lennox without his owner I would give him a pat and check his i.d for a telephone number.  If I came across an Irish Wolfhound without an owner I think I would probably run away!

I wish N.I. could get into the 21st century or at least the 20th.
