I've been vegan 12 years, and I changed from vegetarian straight away as soon as I saw ALV's dairy write-up on their website.
I went vegetarian 6 years before that at age 14. I was in the library not long after seeing a video in my Personal Development class on animal testing.. I was the only person out of 31 kids who cried. I looked up animal cruelty after that, and that was it.
Isn't it strange that no-one else cried. Fair enough if they didn't show emotion in class but to then not realise that it was cruel and become veg... but I guess, most think it is the norm. It's really sad.
