I wish so badly that I could quit the caffiene and soft drinks. Any tips? haha
Water is the nectar of life, that's my only tip, try it for a few days every time you crave soft drink have a glass of water. U will feel awesome I am sure!

I'm reading 3 books at the moment. 'Tis by Frank McCourt (too boring to finish) Vegan Freak (unbelievably boring, I think I would rather watch paint dry than read that book) and Water for Elephants, which is a really good book, despite the movie which I have no intention of seeing.
Angela's Ashes was much better then Tis, but I did like them both, could be the Irish in me. Want to read Water for Elephants. I just saw the movie (despite my loathing for twilight and anything to do with it - ROBERT PATTENSON!) but I liked it a lot actually!

I would say, aside from the hectic schedule of life (baby and all), web browsing is probably the number one reason why I don't read books as much as I used to.

I hear you! My 3yr old and 7mo old keep me super busy, but I force a chapter in pretty much every night. Also, not to sound crude, but I always keep a book in the loo LOL happy

Juice, juice, and more juice. I don't drink a lot of it anymore, but at first I drank HEAPS.

Back on topic, I really think I need to read some Carl Sagan soon. Any Sagan fans in here have a suggestion for something to start with?

Fresh juice is good indeedy. But standard juice is often packed with crap almost as bad as soft drinks so don;t drink too too much.

Carl Sagan... I actually haven't read any of his books... he wrote Contact tho right??

And tea! I could drink tea all day. Although tea has caffiene in it. So maybe it doesn't count. tongue

Haha, yeah I know right! I have never liked soft drinks, and although I do love a cuppa tea, I usually only have 1 or 2 black teas a day the rest is herbal. You could try replacing some of that with not just water and juice but herbal tea. Mmmm. I have a good friend who was ADDICTED to cola, he went through it at a disgusting rate. He one day decided to give it up. Started drinking loads of water instead, and seriously, he looked so healthy he musta lost like 10kg and lost the dark circles under his eyes. It was awesome!

Oh so that's who wrote Contact. Haven't read the book, but loved the movie (except matthew mcconaughey - so annoying).

So..um...reading while on the loo...>.> ...I generally don't like 'sitting' (omission of 'h' intentional) any longer than I have to, if you know what I mean? In and out, asap. *snaps fingers for desired effect*
