Cruel Companies

A list of companies who test on animals

I'm sick to death of buying products and then later on realising that an animal was tortured for it.

I found this website and they list companies who are NOT cruelty-free. The sadest part is that the list is very long. Longer than any list of cruelty-free companies I've come across.

Do not buy anything produced by the companies on this list.

You're right, there aren't any!!! happy Unfortunately, they would be here and test on animals here, they're just owned internationally.

That's it Maggie. A huge percentage of the products sold in AU are owned by these companies.

All I can say is buy local, you get quality products, support local industry and you're not buying from the major conglomerates that are 99.9999% evil.

Also Maggie, if you want the best Australia-centric guide go here: http://www.ethical.org.au/

The guide is a saviour, makes the trips to the supermarket very easy. It has everything divided up in to logical categories.

Buy some cruelty free clothing http://www.etiko.com.au/ and you can order the guide very cheaply! They even have it at the Melbourne Zoo (whether you like the zoo or not, I love it! happy)

ecstatic

I wish you could make the Ethical Consumer Guide website show all the 'boycott' and/or 'cross' companies in a list so you don't have to read through all of them.

They might do that soon, but it is a good source when you're actually at the shops in its current format.

Then you can research the companies boycotted more if you want a realy, really depressing afternoon :/ :/

If business went bad the main company would cut ties and send the aus work/company off shore, so even if they are a different sect why shouldn't they be classed as and boycotted the same.

If you say 'well mars Australia doesn't test', well they don't need to do they, they still utilize the same 'benefits' or the practice. Also, the testing is done by Universities and simply funded by Mars. The universities love to f**k around with animals, the company is simple promoting this malpractice. Also money is respected, so if your uni is funded by any company with lots of money, this means they are very capable of legislating their immoral acts and being ethical simply by being discrete and complex.

When is money ever derived from creating something beautiful, it is a value of wasted and tortured beauty. Money as an accumulative numerical value for how much waste has been incured in life... you can buy possessions with it.

Hence how money grows like the roots of all evil.

wink not my words, i dislike english, too tainted by religion for genuine expression/use

PETA has a fantastic list of those that do and those that don't.  I personally don't trust anyone but PETA with this stuff.

I really wish companies had to put that on their label! it's so hard to keep track of which companies test their products on animals. Much like there is a "not tested on animals" label on some products, there should be a law to make companies that do test on animals put it on their label... then you can make an informed decision as a consumer... I wonder how we can get this to happen? any thoughts?
