1. Cigarette butts are often coloured using pork blood.
2. Cigarettes are STILL tested on animals; most commonly primates.

I've got to ask... Why did you start?
I don't get why SO MANY young people start smoking when you're raised knowing how bad it is for you.

It was all over the media awhile ago.
It's what gives them the brown colour.

That's why I don't smoke. Never have and never will. The risks are just too high. I watched my Uncle die a slow painful death at 43 years of age from lung cancer. It got to the point where he was existing, but not living. I'd never risk that and I would never wish it upon anyone. sad

I smoked cigarettes when I was younger because I did think it was cool but I stopped.
And I've smoked pot before but now that's VERY VERY VERY rare (can't remember the last time) as I dont' enjoy it anymore plus the actual act of smoking is too risky anymore.

I was 8 when my Uncle died so that's been my reason for never smoking. I've had moments where I've considered it, but his death was to tragic, his life was wasted. I just kept thinking for the long term.

No offence, but I cannot stand people who smoke pot. Once they're stoned they're just mindless idiots. I had stoned people try and shove a joint into my cat's mouth (the one in the picture) and that was also when I realised I never wanted to be like that.

Still, it's always good to see people stop smoking. Because if you leave it too late you're in for a lot of trouble! You've probably avoided that!

i'm not sure i believe the thing about the pigs blood.. possibly in some countries that's true but in australia it doesn't seem likely when there are so many other ways of dying them. but can anyone tell me if it's all cigarette companies that test on animals? i have also heard that all tailor made cigarettes contain honey, making them not suitable for vegans. anyone know about this?
does anyone have any good FACT sites about the issue?
