you should never feed a pig meat :/.
I'm pretty sure it's illegal to feed a pig meat in Australia.

I've never liked the idea of a 'miniature pig' it just sounds so unnatural.

I had no idea that mini pigs were created like that!

A friend who lives a few streets away has a big bush-like backyard and after hearing someone talk about wanting mini pigs, he bought two Tamworth pigs. He loves them to bits, but his family has to keep reinforcing the fences because pigs are pretty strong. I visited them earlier this week and they covered me with mud and pig spit because they kept nosing me and gumming my legs, which was cute.

The cutest pigs I've ever seen were on that Jamie Oliver pig special that was on TV a while ago, this lady in Britain had two pigs which looked much more like their ancestor wild boars, and they were just amazing! They were a bit smaller than the average pig - probably about the size of a medium-sized dog, except a bit rounder happy

I'm not sure about desexing protocol for pigs but females can get rather nasty after all the hormones kick in.
The same can be said to human females XD

I have a piglet and her name is Helga. I'm not sure what breed she is, but I'm guessing shes a standard pig, like the ones in the pork industry (pink and adorable). My uncle rescued her from some people who didn't want her anymore. And we've had her ever since on his farm.

I've never heard of feeding a pig meat, and the comment is a little concerning, I know that they occasionally have dairy for the protein and such, but Helga loves her grains, veggies and pasture time.

Helga doesn't have a nose ring, and while she might ruin the lawn here and there she's not so bad, and always have a pen area for them to sleep in that can be secured at night.

Having a pig, is essentially like having a dog, they're curious, talkative, quirky and intelligent, but be warned, pigs can be very dangerous especially when their fully grown, and their teeth can bite your fingers off so always be aware of that.
