I'm still trying to work out if this is a legitimate troll, because some of the points he is getting at seem sincere, but others seem sarcastic.
But regardless, guys, lets all stop biting!
stop feeding them
perhaps he'll learn something...
I'm highly doubtful of that, you have to remember we're a bunch of hippies who don't know anything.
Okay, I know I came of badly at the start i was sarcastic and trollish. But i still do not understand how you can believe what you believe.
I hate intensive farming, I only buy free range eggs organic meat etc. Hunting is an effective way to contian population of feral animals.
We need to have a ballence
Just so you know free range eggs are still in the intensive farming category, they are sent off to slaughter at 18months of age just because they lay one less egg a year. And scratching on a patch of dirt isn't what I would call free range...
Regardless organic, whatever, your still contributing to the extensive clearing of land, the extensive loss of habitat for native species,
as do vegans and vegetarians whose modern day diet requires the clearing of land, the killing of pests, the killing of free river systems, the poisoning of land/ water and polluting the sky.

These statistic are very misleading because it takes everything into account for animal agricultural emissions (such as water used, the building of the factories, the transportation, cooking the meat at home......) but only takes into account the transport emissions caused by simply driving vehicles, not the huge waste and destruction caused by digging up raw materials and making those vehicles and so on

Hey maybe if 58% of our usable land wasn't cleared for livestock there would be so much native habitat for birds etc, they would be less likely to fall prey to fox and there would be plenty of native plants for the rabbits then
Sorry but your looking at this all one sided. Your carrying on about hunting but forgetting the extreme amount of native habitat cleared for livestock farming.
Yes your right there needs to be a balance, 13% national park vs 58% livestock land is hardly a balance for our fragile ecosystem.

Of course we still contribute but much less than a meat eater... esp. if we support local organic farmers! and grow our own
as i siad I know it not perfect, I use my own eggs as much a possible, which are truly free range, but I cant all the time. My chooks dont lay enough eggs, largly because they have been brought to such low number by FOXES. We also have cattle on our farm (hobby) which we use as little chemicals on as possble. We dont use nay fetilizer, jsut let the grass grow naturally.
Sorry for branding you as thinking that guide dogs were slave, it jsut that the thought did not come up to a huge amount of oppisiton.
I do my best for the enviroment, I know I could always do better. I also eat a lot of rabbit (I only though kill out if they are not edible) Killing foxes and keeping their number in check is alos soething I do that I think is important for the enviroment. I have seen the damage they cuase to native wildlife and livestock alike. they are truly horrbile creatures.
