Tempeh is the bomb diggity!!!! I'd eat some now, but i ate it all for dinner the other night...so worth it!

I didn't think I could give up meat. I used to looove most meat. Bacon, chicken, lamb, meatballs etc. However I made up my mind I wanted to do this and I knew I had to get help and support. So I started out day by day. Did a whole bunch of research and talked to different people, bought a whole bunch of faux meat to try and then I marked everyday that I didn't eat meat on a calendar with a V. I thought I would start to phase out different animals, ie red meat first, then pork, then chicken then fish. However, after a couple of days of not eating any meat I wasn't wanting any meat at all anyway! (plus I felt like I couldn't decide which animal deserved to be eaten:-/)

So anyway this was my experience and now I'm phasing into becoming and ovo-vegetarian (won't say vegan), and I'm finding this really easy! Although I'm sure I'm consuming some animal products without realizing:-/

I was such a huge meat eater too! I ate so much takeaway..Double whoppers, meatball subs (double cheese) and the list goes on. A few years ago, when I tried to go vegetarian the first time, I stuffed like eight pieces of turkey in my mouth just before midnight and then ate pretty much pasta, pasta sauce and heaps of parmesan for a month before going back to being an omni. I thought I had no chance...I guess I suprised myself, because its pretty darn easy now! (and i dont live on crappy pasta anymore =P
