I'd love to do nursing and then midwifery, I think it takes a while though. Right now I'm doing children's services, probably at Box Hill next year.

I'm in my second year of a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Sociology at Griffith Uni Nathan.  I volunteer at the co-op there where we have vegan pies and chips and such ecstatic.
Duuuude, why does Nathan campus get all the good stuff? sad
I'm down at GC, and we haven't really got anything. Even all the good clubs are at Nathan.
Oh well, might just have to pop over to Nathan for a mosey one day happy
OMG im at griffith nathan campus to but i also travel to the gold coast campus  happy

I am starting a bachelor of arts at Monash happy Not really sure what the animal rights scene is like there yet.....I know they have Wholefoods there though! So I am definitely excited for some yummy vego food while on campus! I will be checking out the different clubs and societies during o week. Hopefully there is an animal rights club happy
what subjects are you taking? this is my first year there.. will be doing criminology happy
Really?! Yay! We should meet up on campus! Then I will have another new friend haha Even cooler that you are veg....we could stuff our faces at wholefoods together tongue Did you go to any of the o week festivities?
Anyway I am taking anthropology, philosophy, communications and international studies happy
Are you just doing the subject criminology or is there like a specific degree for that? happy
i think it would be a great idea to meet up sometime, you can pm me if you want! i know i want to go to wholefoods! i only went to orientation day
i'm studying a bachelor of letters in human rights and criminology inter-campus.. if i happen to see you in wholefoods at some point i'll say hello for sure! happy
Sorry to butt in here, but first-year philosophy, Alyssa? Meeee tooo!  ecstatic
Wow, really?! Small world! How are you finding it so far?
We should all do a little unleashed catch up one day I think happy
It is very small indeed! I'm quite enjoying it so far; I think it may end up being my favourite subject. How about you? Which philosophy subject are you taking?

An unleashed meet-up at wholefoods would be so amazing. happy
Same! I am really liking it so far! I'm doing life, death and morality. What about you? The unit I am doing deals with the ethics of killing.......so it's going to be very interesting in tutorials when animals come up!
We definitely need an unleashed meet up! When do you have free time in your timetable? happy
And you too, Birdie!
I'm doing Life, Death and Morality also! So strange to think that we've been sitting in the same lecture theatre twice-weekly. ^^ I'm quite looking forward to when we start discussing the ethics of killing animals, too. I think it will spark some interesting debate, especially considering Peter Singer is a vegetarian himself.

I have a 3 hour break from 12-3 on a Thursday (so after the philosophy lecture). Also 10-12 on Wednesdays, any time before 2 on a Monday and any time after 12 on a Friday. happy

*gazes in Birdies direction*
other than this week.. a wed 10-11 catch up would work with me! i'm not around on thursdays and fridays.. now to see when alyssa is free happy
That is such a coincidence! Yeah, I am looking forward to it also, but at the same time slightly dreading it.....Only because for me to debate things to the best of my ability I need to be comfortable, and I don't really have that with my tute class yet......but I'm sure I will manage to produce a good argument haha happy
By the way, are you a first year or just doing a first year unit?

Um anyway, I could do Wednesday 10-11 happy I also have a 2 hour gap after the philosophy lecture on Thursdays....
I'm first year doing a second year major, actually! I'm doing second year psychology because I started off in a straight- psychology degree but I wanted a little more variety so I transferred to arts. Ergo, 2 first-year units and 2 second-year units. Monash recognises me as first year, though, so it'll still take me 3 years to complete my degree.

*ahem*, anyway- we should totally have a wednesday 10-11 up, then. happy perfect time to gorge on yummy muffins!

And Alyssa, I love the fact that we both have that break. Post-philosophy debrief and wholefoods lunch sometime?
Ah hah.....I see! haha Not really.....I am like a Uni-illiterate, I swear! haha
But anyway, you course sounds pretty coooool! happy

And yes, muffin gorging time = 10-11 on Wednesday!

And yes again to the post philosophy brief and lunch sometime!
This looks fun.

Doing a B.A. dip. Education at Macquarie Uni in Sydney. Majoring in Ancient History and minoring in Geography. So far I'm liking it, although I do have to admit AHIS people are a lot more fun than the Geo crowd. If I don't like teaching high school kids, I'll probably go back and study to become a meteorologist.

But yes, I have a quite a long way to go and won't finish until about '14/15. I'm a mature age student so I'm only in my 2nd year.
