Some people are so daft too.
You'd think the Doc would have more brains,
"I never knew this about milk"

What about, cheese, yoghurt & icecream

ITS CALLED DAIRY DOC!

Did we all notice that the "welfare" representative for the dairy industry, the guy who said that there is no proof that depriving bobby calves of food had a negative effect on them, was FAT! Let's see how he would go without food for 30 hours, especially at 5 days old!
Agreed, it was a wonderful piece... I especially liked (although seeing it made me cry) that they showed how the poor bobby calves are treated during transport to the abattoir- cruelly, callously and with absolutely no respect. Certainly doesn't make the dairy industry look good.
Why watching I pointed and laughed "LOOK ANOTHER FATTY!"

Damn I missed it! But I can't stand watching animal cruelty vids. I've changed my lifestyle so that it doesn't support this sickening industry.

That guy was just digging himself a grave when he said 'we've been doing this for 200 years', that's not exactly an excuse to keep doing it.

This is certainly a very cruel industry and that big fat man spoke with a smile on his face.  He deserves to be treated in the same manner as he want's to make those little babies face.
No more diary products for me.  I will certainly be writing to my member to voice my concerns and I hope that the Govt will not listen to the fat greedy farmers.
I was horrified at the way those little animals are handled - they must be terrified.

Has anyone seen the project forums? If you have a moment please drop by and tell 7PM Project what you thought of their show!

http://community.ten.com.au/community/7pm_project/f/113.aspx

Few TV programs have the guts to tackle stories like this. They should be congratulated for helping to encourage consumers to become more informed.

P.S. PLEASE TRY NOT TO ENGAGE IN ARGUMENT WITH THE DAIRY FARMERS! I know it's tempting, and they sometimes come out with really silly things! But best to stick with the positives in this case - the program did an excellent job!
