Ok, So after all this bobby calf stuff ClosedEyedVisuals and I are finally going vegan. We always said we would do it, but now its final.

It shouldnt be too hard as we've given up everything but rennet free cheese.

So I have a few problems.

Im not that good of a cook and cant cook things from scratch so  I need to learn how obviously happy

So does anyone please have recipes for me? They will be very appreciated! I need:
Healthy and non time consuming ones happy

Also, The big one. B12.

So I take a multivitamin with 10mcg of b12, I have Marmite, and drink a cup soy milk with my weetbix/whatever else every morning.

is this enough? What else can I do? Im a bit worried because I have a low immune system as it is and when I get sick, I get bed ridden. So Yes I want to avoid that.

Any other tips, please give them happy

I used to have a B12 deficiency after having been vegan for a few years but then I changed my diet a little to incorporate a lot of Soy Milky soy milk and after that my B12 level was completely normal!  This was surprising because it had been low for ages!  So I think you're doing enough already; the best way to tell is to have a blood test.
Thanks Alanna! I'll give it six months and both of us will get blood tests happy

I heard b12 needs to be absorbed through the mouth so maybe chewing food for longer helps :S

I get awesome recipes from vegweb:  http://vegweb.com/
It is an american site, so you need to convert measurements and stuff in some recipes. They have a corn dog (dagwood dog) recipe on there, and it is freaking awesome!! Here: http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=15260.0
btw, cornmeal is polenta.

Sorry, I'm not much help.

Congrats for going vegan!!! I'm still not quite there yet.

You don't really need to worry. Ever since I went Vegan I've been high in B12! Higher than when I was a meat eater!

A lot of soy products are enriched with B12, plus you said you take a supplement, so you really shouldn't have any trouble.

Oh, I forgot to ask, do you eat nutritional/savoury yeast? It's got heaps of vit B12. I sprinkle it on almost everything. It has a unique taste (I like it!).
It can be used to make a mock cheese sauce.

Cool! Thanks for the support. I always need to do things slowly.
I don't drink cow milk or eat eggs anymore, but I do eat stuff that contains them.
I recently brought some vegan shoes too. I'm getting there!
