its common sense that being pregnant and veg*n is wrong
If you read some of the links that Maisy Mouse posted, as well as reading the accounts and information provided by the other vegan mothers on this site, I think you'll find that not only is being pregnant and vegan in no way wrong, it can sometimes be highly beneficial.

Personally I think that parents who want to have a vegan/vegetarian pregnancy will know more about their child's nutrition than the average meat-eater. Before I went veg I didn't know about hardly any sort of protein/iron/B12.. Parents of veg*n babies would be getting enough for their child I'm sure. happy

May I politely ask why you believe bringing up a child and/or being pregnant with a child and being vegan is wrong? I'm sure some of us would believe the same thing about consuming corpses of once fellow living creatures is wrong, but maybe that's just me. tongue
As with any belief, why do you think you should be the person to decide what another does with their life? There are a few vegans on here who brought up perfectly healthy and happy bubs, so I honestly don't know what you think you have right to complain about. It's not like the mum is saying that when that vegan bub grows older, they don't have the option to eat meat and animal products. But I have met vegetarians who have been brought up that way, and you may be suprised to know that they are THANKFUL they were brought up that way, because they believe otherwise they may not have had the strength to change their diet to a more ethical one.  Oh, and of course they are perfectly healthy and happy also.

I was an omni when I was pregnant and I got anaemic and low in vitamin d as well as having high blood pressure. i ended up having a c section which I believe could  have been prevented had i been on a vegan/ veggie diet.
if i have another child I would like to be vegan/veggie during pregnancy which I believe is possible as long as you take supplements in b12 .

and yes my daughter is small for her age and she is an omni which I know is because of genetics. her  father is only a bit over five foot tall.

AndrewF, cows have been milked forever!!! That's what cows are for!!! They ENJOY being milked, and actually feel discomfort when NOT milked regularly! How can someone as selfish as me properly raise a child you ask? Ya know what??? Go F**k Yaself.
So mis-informed. A cow may feel discomfort of not being milked, but that milk is intended for their own babies, not yours! And do you think that mother cow likes to give birth at 6 months old, just to have her baby taken away from her as waste? Cows enjoy being milked. haha.

I think you should think twice before sitting behind a computer screen insulting all of the vegans on this forum. You willingly signed up to this forum to argue with anyone who you think are trying to be more superior to you. You will find that many vegans do not preach their beliefs onto omni's and we do not insult you in anyway. This is OUR lifestyle choice, just the same as religion is a lifestyle choice.

Each person has their own beliefs and i really dont think you should be putting them down. Their are documented cases of healthy vegan children, i think alot of nutritionists, or people who have studied nutrition (which is very different) are biased on the matter. You will always be told that vegies are great for you, vegies, wholegrains, beans and legumes and of course fresh fruit. All of us on this forum are living proof that veganism is perfectly healthy.

Cows are not for milking! They are for themselves.

EJay, oh wow, your pregnant. Poor bub. Talking about ''happy birthday kid'', I hope yours has a happy birthday when he/she is the only kid at kind with a tofu cake.
How cruel! Everyone at my party ate the vegan cake, and it was gone *snap* that fast!
