I recently got my self a Vegan cupcake book and I made some cupcakes for my friends birthday today and took them to school. My friends started to eat them, they told me that they were delicious. I told them they were vegan cupcakes are they were really surprised, they were astounded that they were vegan and wanted the recipe. ecstatic
I was surprised myself because they always say to me that vegetarian and vegan food isn't nice.
What have been some of your experiences with Veg/vegan food and friends?

Everyone's experience is going to be around the same idea; you give food to friends/family, they love it, and are shocked that it's vegan because they just assumed vegan food is horrible.
I don't think anyone who tries vegan food thinks it's horrible.

There are those that put their fork down as soon as they hear 'vegan' even if they liked the food  angry

I've never had this problem, people like this are just arguing their right to eat animals, and it's rediculous, plenty of things they choose to eat every day are accidentally vegan.

yeah true, most of my friends always look at my vegetarian food and make fun of it. I was just happy because they liked my vegan cupcakes  happy

I have let my Dad try my Vegetarian pasta recipe. My Mum likes to eat it vegetarian but my Dad says "I think it needs meat. It's too much of the same thing."

sad

That what my friends did when they were trying my Vegetarian sausages at my place! I was annoyed they didn't even want to try it, but I let it go and didn't say anything

I hate it when people say stuff like that, one of my friends looked at my food I was eating at dinner and said "Oh that looks nice... you sure you don't want some of my chicken"

A poster on another vegan forum once wrote about an omni family member who, after being told the food they just raved about was vegan, immediately claimed that they actually didn't like it at all.  huh Ï mean, really? " rolleyes

Well I haven't had many of my friends try Vegan food, but the ones that have said it was yum and they want more! Oh, and one of my friends even made me Vegan brownies the other day! happy
One of my uncles tried a Vegetarian/Vegan sausage last week, and he was surprised it tasted so good, and even went to go get one himself (we were having a party, so there was a plate of them out)!
