Wednesday 7 October there is a special screening of the documentary "The Burning Season' at the University of Technology, Sydney.

This screening will raise money for the Nyaru Menteng Orang-utan Sanctuary in Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo, to provide resources for the sanctuary to continue its good work rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing orang-utans. The money will also go toward purchasing land for safe release sites.

THE BURNING SEASON is about the forest clearing in Indonesia and the orang-utans and other species that are killed in the fires and lose their home. The story is about a remarkable young entrepreneur who believes there's money to be made from protecting rainforests in Indonesia, saving the orang-utan from extinction and making a real impact on climate change. Go to to see the trailer.

Please all come to raise as much money for this cause as possible.
Tickets can be purchased on the door: $7 student concession and $10 adult (price includes light refreshments and snacks).

When: Wednesday October 7
Time: 6pm for 6.30 screening
Where: University of Technology, City Campus, University Hall, 745 Harris Street, Ultimo (directly opposite the ABC headquarters)
