What gets me really riled up about this is that Julia is an incredibly intelligent and a compassionate woman but news stories don't highlight any of that. Obviously she knew that this could happen - we all do - but it doesn't mention that the inexperienced teenager was shooting at a low flying bird. Surely common sense would have told him that if there is someone, who was clearly visibly in her hi vis gear, in the way not to pull the trigger. But he did anyway, so why is that?
This kid and possibly his father should be punished for allowing harm to come to another because of lack of judgement, experience and possibly reputation.
My other concern is that now he has shot at a person and probably won't face any consequences due to age and situation, how will he go on to value all life? After all she's only a 'bloody greenie'.
Duck shooters are disgusting.
