Pretty much every single day for breakfast I eat cereal with soy milk, and often I will have cereal for a snack aswell, or a smoothie with soy milk. I eat tofu numerous times every week and a couple of days I might have the soy products like  veggie dogs and things, sometimes I also have so good soy ice cream, and I probably have other soy containing foods. I just realised that thats a lot of soy!
There are all kinds of conflicting things out there regarding soy and whether it's bad to have too much etc. I was just wondering what the general opinion of soy is here?

Fermented soy is always best as it's easier to digest but there is no health risk with soy.
All that soy causes cancer stuff is crap; I've posted about it before in length but it only takes a little bit of research to realize why it's crap.
If you're really worried switch to rice or oat milk for breakfast and your smoothies and replace tofu with tempeh or seitan.

I don't think a lot of the propaganda against soy has much weight to it, but then again everything should be in moderation. Maybe in smoothies and cereal you could try oat milk? I think it tastes nicer anyway :/

Exactly what I was going to say. It's gotta be better than dairy anyway, but maybe try and alternate with oat, rice milks etc.

I have nut milk in mine. happy You just chuck some nuts, water and dates (or other sweetener) into the blender, and you can chuck the other smoothie ingredients in with it as well, you don't have to make it first. I find that it's creamer if you put the nut milk ingredients at the bottom. peace

Yeah, I used to eat a fair bit of soy, but I'm trying to cut down because 'moderation is the key'.
I have nut milk in my smoothies for breakfast, and I have half a cup to a cup of soymilk with my dinner, depending on whether I eat any other soy products (usually this would be tofu) and how much I have.

I read in a cruelty-free magazine, called...Update I think...this article about how the 'soy is bad for you' is pretty much crap, and as long as you eat moderate servings: 1-3 servings a day, it's good for you. happy Hope that helps!

i don't know, i think it's milk? but I know that humans can't use the phytoestrogens in soy so they have no effect on human growth.
