thats total bull

As much as I love easy way.. they're having an awful lot of trouble leting us know about some of their basic ingredients.....it's really kinda suspect.

I might enquire into other bubble companies like Chatime and see if they are a bit more helpful
id say that any company that treated customers like that arn't worth it tbh. clearly they don't value their customers how they should, they'd rather just withhold information.. if it didn't have gelatine, they'd say straight out cos that's what we want to hear.. but it clearly does have it, because theyre refusing to say anything...

I just had a look at Chatime's website.. they're more transparant with their ingredients. If you click on each item in the menu it shows whats in each drink such as dairy farmers milk, grass jelly (from a plant in the peppermint family), tea etc

Im going to send another email to easy way comparing the company's transparency with Chatime, also letting them know I'm more than happy to renounce easy way as a great shop on social media

Neither does hypocrisy, Jesse.

If you have a problem with the way this forum is moderated, then I'm happy to discuss that with you via email, but let's at least let this thread get back on topic.

Hi,
I have the same problem. I spoke to various stores and they either did not even understand the question or they said they had no idea what is in their products. It all gets delivered to them in containers, no questions asked.

So I rang the headquarter and was told that there was no one from the legal department available at the moment. I repeated my self like 20 times saying  I N G R E D I E N T S !!!! I don't want to speak to the law department !!!!!  but the woman was adament I'd ring back later when some lawyer is available.
So I gave up and don't purchase any of the teas as I am concerned about the milk and jelly. Also, I think it might be full of colours, flavourings, preservatives and sugar.

But it sure looks oh so delicious sad.

I had one of these teas today and as I was finishing it I realised I may have just eaten a stack of gelatin, it freaked me out so i went on the net to find out the ingredients. Like most of the frustrated consumers here I too found nothing! Happily though I found this website happy
One thing I did find on wikipedia relating to bubble tea was a disturbing comment - "Concerns have arisen regarding harmful chemicals that may be used to make popular bubble tea drinks. Boba pearls, milk powder, and juice syrups may contain banned chemical additives in order to reduce costs. Recent information from Taiwan has shown possible use of DEHP (a chemical plasticizer and potential carcinogen used to make plastic) as a stabilizer in drinks and juice syrups. Some of these products may have been exported and used in bubble tea shops in the U.S. and around the world. DEHP can affect hormone balances.[9][10]
In June 2011, the Health Minister of Malaysia, Liow Tiong Lai, instructed companies selling "Strawberry Syrup," a material used in some bubble teas, to stop selling them after chemical tests showed they were tainted with a carcinogen identified as DEHP.[11]"

So yeah... until i can get a definitive ingredient listing from them i will put this on my ban list.
