Killing of native wildlife is planned for Kingston Cemetery and we intend to stop it. Join us on Friday night for a peaceful action in opposition to the killing. Be prepared to stay until late to stop the shooting of possums and wallabies that are accused of eating the roses. Bring a candle and dress warmly.
Thats the most ridiculous thing I've heard yet. Culling indigenous wildlife to protect roses which are not even native to Australia. Unfortunately I cant be there as I live in SA.
I wish I could go but I live too far from Kingston. I can't believe they would consider killing wildlife for this reason. It is ridiculous and awful. I hope a good outcome comes from the vigil.
I don't think it's just the Kingston cemetery that has this problem. I think it's all cemeteries. If they had the vigil at the Cornelian Bay cemetery I would go. That cemetery would be worse because they'd kill all the cats too.
