I don't plan on having children (BABIES NOOO) but if I ever did they would not be eating meat while they lived with me. I will inform them about Veganism and the meat and the dairy industry, and if after they leave my house they choose to eat meat then that's their choice, but there will be NO animal products where I live.

No, I would raise my children as vegans. If they decide they want to eat meat, then I'll show them what the animal goes through. After that it's their choice, but I would hope that I had raised them to mae decisions compassionately.

I don't want to have kids but my Husband and I have spoken heaps about this issue, He is a meat eater, A big meat eater.

I wouldn't want my child to eat meat because I believe you can be perfectly healthy without eating and it goes against what I believe in, My husband doesn't agree and said if we ever had kids they would eat meat...

Well I WOULD NOT cook meat and because my Husband work long hours, I'd be doing all the cooking happy

My child would be spending more time with me and there is no way I will shelter them about the meat and dairy industry.

People also ALWAYS ask me," If you ever get pregnant would you eat meat?? "

I love this debate. It's such a catch 22. People wonder why their parents won't let them eat vegetarian at home when they eat meat, and then you look at the reasons why vegans want their kids to eat vegan at home

1. health
2. parents only have to cook one meal
3. parents are the ones buying the food

the list goes on..

If my kid wanted to be a vegan, well they could. As long as they cooked it themselves, then that their choice. However couldn't say I wouldn't be disappointed

In the end, I think what your kid eats (as long as it healthy) is up to them

If veganism is  good enough for me it's good enough for my children. I'd probably pay a lot closer attention to what I was eating, e.g. getting enough of each food group (minus meat & dairy) every day, if I was pregnant or raising a child, but what good parent wouldn't.
