Since becoming vegetarian then vegan about 3months ago i have noticed my skin is terrible...i expcted it to detox from the meat and dairy i had always eaten but didnt thnk it would take this long to clear up!

Everyone alway talks about benefits of veganism and includes 'good skin', has anyone else had not so good skin???

Well my skin is pretty bad, but it's always been that way. In the last few months it's gotten better because of a prescription gel. Are you drinking enough water and getting enough vit D?

Same. My skin is very dry and blotchy. And I only drink maybe a cup or a mouth ful of water a day sad

Hey, does anyone have any ideas on how to drink more water? Like tricks or something?

If you're still at school the best way to drink more water is to buy a reusable water bottle and carry it around to each class. You won't even realise you're drinking it and the more you drink, the more you want it.

It's the best source of vit D for anyone!
Have you asked a chemist or doctor about it?
Could it be a reaction to something new your using?

Yeah keep your water bottle in your hand not in your bag so you cant forget. Get a pretty one which you really like! that helped me.

I used to just have a 1.25 L bottle, which i filled up at the start of the day and had to finnish by the end... taught me well!

This is true, when I carry a water bottle I find I just sip it without thinking.

Any other tips... If you don't enjoy water very much... pre-chill it. Chilled water tastes nicer.
You could try putting a lemon slice in it for flavour.
Or if you drink juice.. water down your juice.

You mentioned that you drink a lot of soymilk... depending on what you use it for, you could subsitute some of it for water. I've been doing this lately in my oats to lower my calories. I cook my oats in water and just add a bit of soymilk in for the creaminess.

If it's just a matter of not getting the glasses in. Try drinking some water every hour, or having a glass before every meal.

And water in food works too. Maybe try eating more fruit. If you're not eating a lot of fruit you're missing out on a lot of water in there and nutrients!

The pill actually helped clear up my skin, along with veganism.

I found what triggers bad breakouts in my skin is softdrink. If I have a glass of coke I'm hiding under layers of makeup for about 2 weeks! it's horrible!

same with oily foods, and you need to drink water.

I find if I have a water bottle next to me at my desk I get through about a bottle an hour, I just keep drinking it
