I rang Dairy foods Vic, or someone to that effect, I can't remember it was months ago, and there is no regulation on the somatic cell count for milk that is sold in Australia. But, and get this, the milk that we export does have a regulation on the somatic cell count. I can't remember what it was, I didn't really care, because A: I don't drink milk anyway. B:Obviously other countries do have a regulation about this, yet Australia does not. The guy on the phone was ooohhh so reluctant to tell me this. I could not stop smiling, cause obviously it sounds real bad for Dairy Aust to admit this.
what they do just to sell milk, too bad no way am I turning back.
