You mean it would require effort?
of course it would require effort. it would be next to impossible to keep track of that. cos one day it's vegan, the next it's got milk in it. its ever changing, we'd have to keep checking 10000000000 of products basically daily to make sure it's still vegan.. and i dont think it's the admin's responsibility to tell us whats okay to eat and whats not.. just do it like everyone else, seek and you shall find

.... OR... if it is based on your favorite products ONLY... you will find out... and then you will change it in the wiki.. lol. Or date your finding of a product being vegan '2011 January' and put a disclaimer at the start saying 'this is only a rough guide, please check item labels if you aren't sure'

how hard is that?  Yeah it is ever changing.. HENCE why some ELECTRONIC.. community kept database WOULD actually be USeful.. LOL  if it wasn't useful... why even bother making it... to look pretty?

Why would I think we'd need it to look pretty? That's stupid to say..
I just think it's really ridiculous thing to try attempt, it'd be way to hard to up keep. And i think people have better things to do than to tell people what to eat

I was referring to these websites looking pretty.. but having no utility. The effort is put into making it presentable and have a functionality where it directs you to some revenue of buying your way into 'not feeling guilty'... as apposed to putting the effort into engaging a community to make a resource all vegans can use to gather information and ways to go about living out their choice. New or ongoing.

I wasn't saying you want it to look pretty, I was saying... if it has no use to anyone.. then that is all it is left doing.

I just dont know what you mean. This forum is crazy easy to use if tha'ts what you mean. You keep insinuating that this forum has no purpose, it just looks good. And i dont really get that- because it's SO functional. I dont know if you dont know how to use the internet, or whatever- but i disagree massively. It looks great, yeah.. But that helps in its functionality, because it's so well put together and so well presented its not difficult to know where things are

*yawnskees.. I'm just not a web designer.. so once again.. I know what i'm after.. but have not much idea how to go about it.. from scratch. It just annoys me, how difficult it is to find something light in manner and useful.

..... really appropiate? :S
That's why the 'hide' feature came to be..
Not my point.
Your point is, you don't want to look at some of the posts that have been going on, hide it and it's completely gone.. And the maker of that post said in the post, that they actually meant cuddle.
yes, but I, nor others shouldn't have to hide a heap of forum posts just because they are inappropiate and entirely unrelated to the general topics of discussion on this forum. The hide feature is a good idea, but it's fustrating to have to leaf through said posts in the first place, particularily if they are all that's being posted lately. Sure everyone can easily post what they want when they want, but in doing so more frequently than neccessary, it fustrates others who are looking for a decent conversation to participate in.

Yet again, that's all I was saying, no need to rebutt every comment I make rottweiler.
