On top of the questions I've asked above, I'd simply like to ask vegetarians why they need calf milk or a hens egg? Rather relevant questions I feel (on topic, in other words :p ).
As recently turned vegan ( some may disagree with me on this ) but been a vegetarian for 4 years i never gave dairy or eggs a thought. but after the footage shown on the 7pm project by animals australia it got me thinking. after a few sleep-less nights and emotional battles with myself i descided not to consume dairy anymore :3 but i would continue to eat eggs, but these eggs are from my own rescued hens, they lay eggs regard-less and i give some away to friends that would normally buy caged eggs, i also rescued some hens and they now live with friends and give them eggs. i also feed some eggs back to the hens for protein.
fair enough ^^^
The title of this thread is what my attitude use to be . i never understood it. then when i went vegetarian i was eating yogurt and talking to mum i was all 'imagine if i was vegan lols .'
but now im vegan and i wouldnt change...... but i dont particurly like using the term because it does give people a distorted opinion of you. i want people to know the reasons why i dont use animal products but i dont like to be catagorised or whatever. i prefer herby or something :p yeah im a herbivore that'll do
