Well, you know how everyone is like ' Ban puppy farms, blah blah' do they actually talk about puppy farms that actually look after their dogs? No, they don't. They just make everyone feel bad cause they let their dogs lead a natural life and let them raise puppies.

And some people even take puppies and dogs from people's property! Without the owners permission! Someone broke into my sister's dog shed and took some of her dogs!

furious  WHAT THE HELL?
I can see where you're coming from and how you think it's natural for an animal to be permitted to breed, but the reality is, to let domesticated dogs breed is actually perpetuating cruelty toward animals.

See, naturally a dog in the wild would raise her pack- but what happens to puppies in puppy farms? They are sold. They are torn away from their mother. For any breed of animal this is unnatural and distressing and should not be accepted as 'ok'- just because it's been done for a long time doesn't mean it's right.

Additionally, every time someone chooses to create the demand for a brand new puppy, a dog on death row- an innocent animal who has much life left to live and deserves a loving home to do it in- is killed.
Without the puppy farm 'business' these dogs get a chance at a real family. A chance to be happy and loved.

Finally, the health effects on breeding dogs is tremendous because dogs aren't supposed to continually breed (many get infections, cancers, skin problems etc) and they also often to not receive affection and exercise.

If people broke into your sister's shed and rescued the puppies, perhaps you can appreciate that they only wanted good lives for those dogs and view what your sister is doing as cruel and unethical.

Im going to quote Debra Tranter who has been doing this for 20 years.

Not ONCE has she found a puppy farm that isn't cruel to animals- for 20 years. If you know of a puppy farm that is kind to animals please tell me and we will be sure to go visit it- just like we do other farms.

Now lets go to Don Burke who also said this- promoting ACA puppy farm as one of the best breeding establishments he has come to known. This is ACA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zXMh_YF3HlE

So please, like I said give me the details of this good puppy farms who are kind to their animals. Who have enough employees, vet facilities on hand and great breeding establishments so that these dogs get their proper care. We will be more than happy to go in to have a look and if its humane then great, good for them. We want proof of these "good puppy farms"

I want Oscar's Law.

If this person was a dog in a puppy farm her words would be different. Even if the conditions were luxurious -which they are not- something tells me she wouldn't like being forced to have baby after baby, with men she doesn't know, just to have them taken away to be sold to some stupid impulsive buyer who is incapable of looking after that baby.

Some may accuse me of anthropomorphising the situation. But the fact is, when it comes to reproduction and babies, all animals are the same, and have the same instincts and emotions.

EDIT: Just had a look at the profile of the douche who posted this thread. Good luck getting through to this one, I know her type. Animal exploitation is fine if it gets you a fat wallet.

there not happy at all. they are bred cheaply for nothing but profit, they are stuffed in cages that they are unable to move around in. How would you like it if you had to live like that? its disgusting and i think people that support them don't know ANYTHING. and even worse, when they die they are just get thrown in the bin. this sort of thing makes me really angry angry

"Hi. I'm female, omnivore, and there is no way in the world I am going to stop eating animals. Even though I love them. Just saying" < well just saying there isnt such a thing as a animal lover who eats animals.

I'm just wondering about what you said. What if you actually can't stop eating animals? As in, say a person WANTS to go vegetarian, but is unable to because of health risks. I suppose that would still mean that person LOves animals, but if that person uses that excuse and then eats lots of meat, well.

Hmm, I don't really know what i'm getting at, I think I'm just confusing myself.

OK, I'll start again

You can use the excuse "I'm not allowed, or able to go vegetarian" and then say "But I still love animals" but then you should try and avoid meat and that when you can. If you don't, you obviously don't love animals as much as you say you do.

For instance, I wasn't allowed to go Vegetarian, but then, I stopped eating meat, and I know that it can be bad for your health if you aren't prepared to go Vegan (I'm not allowed to go vegan) and go vegan, so I just make little changes. Like, I have a vegan breakfast, lunch, and snack. I have soy milk instead of real milk. Just little changes that means that you mean it. Although when we are having a movie night I sort of binge on chocolates and Werthers, so…

Well, that was my two cents worth happy

there is basically no health reason you cannot go veg, and no one can say you are not allowed!

But, how do you know? I'm not trying to pick a fight with you, of course not, but we actually don't know, unless we have researched it thoroughly.
