if locals cant grow crops for them selfs how will they support animals? ever noticed the animals arnt in the best conditon eg. skinny

where does world vision source the animals from to send to the locals?
World Vision and Oxfam do also assist people to grow and care for crops, but depending on the region, availability of water, and soil conditions it could prove more challenging.

The animals would feed on grass, leaves, crops etc. Sometimes the animals aren't in the best condition, but that isn't always the case.
As to where they source their animals, I'm not sure.

It's also probably worth mentioning that on the World Vision website you can also give gifts of fresh water, fruit trees, plant seeds, bicycles, medicine, clothing, shelter, school supplies and much more. So there are plenty of ways people can donate which don't involve the use of animals - there's no need to boycott these organisations.

Which is why I won't be boycotting World Vision. I couldn't personally donate an animal, but I'm more than willing to give a gift of seeds, fruit trees, fresh water, clothing, school supplies, etc.

There are far greater issues to be concerned with much closer to home, then worrying about charities which are buying animals for people in underprivileged nations.
so would that mean you think we should be focussing on australian campaigns not live export?

Live export is partly an Australian issue imo.
I just think it's silly that someone would say to boycott a charity who helps to feed starving people in underprivileged nations when there are worse things happening to animals in Australia. It doesn't mean people can't focus on international issues, it's just about getting the priorities right.
