A number of scientists have predicted ALL sharks will be gone in 10-20 years. Considering it takes some species 15-35 years so sexually mature and they only have 6-12 pups (roughly) a year, and we're killing 70-100 million. Not shocking at all. Horrendous and awful, but not shocking.
As for fish. You only have to watch The End of the Line to know that companys like Mitsubishi are storing tuna in preparation for its extinction. The logic behind that is stupid. Yes they'll make money, but by destroying the oceans ecosystem.
Fish cannot be farmed like land mammals. They 'farm' salmon at the detriment to the anchovie population, they are now trying to 'farm' sharks in canada. But it won't work.
Leave the sea alone people! (Not you lot

, the rest of the world!) Its stunning and so mysterious. We know more about the damn moon than the ocean.
