Hey
I live in brisbane and as my 18th is coming up in a couple of weeks my friends and I wanted to go out for a birthday dinner/ end of uni semester. Does anyone know of a nice place that has vegan/ vegetarian options? Or any vegan/ vegetarian restaurants?
thanks =D

There is an amazing Himalayan restuarant in Paddington called Newa Chhe'n,  they have clearly marked vegan options and an extensive vegetarian menu. The only thing is...they aren't open Fridays! It is so good. One of my favourites.

Just a word of warning - not all the dishes at Govinda are vegan - be sure to ask the person who serves you to only give you vegan dishes.

My favourite places are Kuan Yin Tea House in the valley (asian food, FANTASTIC dumplings and lots of mock meat dishes) - again, not everything is vegan, so be sure to ask; and The Forest in West End, which is more home-style casseroles, salads, delicious cakes, and burgers/wraps.

I second the Kuan Yin Tea House suggestion, that place is terrific, great food at a great price and really nice people, but I don't think they're open at night so you might like to check first. For my ultimate dinner I think I'd go to My Heart Garden at St Lucia, it's not flashy rather humble, lovely people and amazing nutritious food. My heart smiles when I go there happy

If Kuan Yin is open at night you could do that then walk over to Freestyle Emporium http://www.freestyletout.com.au/ they have a few vegan desserts I think and are working towards more, anyway i just saw this pic of one of their desserts https://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=10150345193521589&set=a.258309491588.142946.53518341588&type=1&theater looks amazing! Maybe just go out for dessert tongue
