I'm actually for the Carbon Tax. For me, it just makes sense to get big polluters to pay, and yes, I sound like them ads but in all seriousness, it's not fair for polluters to keep pumping poison when there are plenty of greener options available and I'm pretty sure they have the money, plus using greener energy actually pays back, so I'm just annoyed that it's taken this long to implement the tax!

I think they are promoting the 'obesity epidemic', I'm made of carbon.... but won't be getting a rebate for sequestration any time soon  :    <

but srsly.. it makes me nervous, because with that legislation in place I don't want to think what is closer to being made policy...

it sounds risky... I know they know it isn't going to benefit in any deducible way,
just providing another short term avenue of this ephemeral thing we call money...

"lets play pretend"... basically now that it is most digitalized... we see it for what it is... ironically denominations what hold less value than computer code.

The CREW are for it too....but when the number 1 industry that contributes to Global Greenhouse Gases (GHG) of which Carbon Dioxide is apart of is the one not being taxed...that is pretty strange.
I read a report that if the livestock industry was not given their subsidies, a hamburger would cost $30. That was before the carbon tax.

And Ashlyn what exactly do you think this present Govt is going to do with the tax revenue.  Probably what it has done with the surplus left by the former Govt.  Spend it baby spend it.  Oooh a little trip here a little trip there blah blah.. They certainly won't be handing it over to the likes of you and I who try and live as 'greener' life as possible.  Nah we won't benefit and neither will the country as a whole.  Shame on this current govt...

I respectfully suggest you do some research before parroting National Party, radio shock jock & Limited News' Courier-Mail talking points.
